This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is being used by Diverse Realty. When ordering or registering on our website, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number or other details to help us enhance your experience with Diverse Realty.

Advertising

We advertise in order to find buyers and sellers and get the two together to buy and sell homes.

In order to make our advertising as efficient as possible, we use a technology called remarketing, which makes use of cookies to know who you are across multiple websites.

We also make use of demographic data offered by the various advertisers we use.

We currently use the services of the following advertisers:

Opting out of advertising:

Most advertisers offer ways to at least partially Opt Out of their advertising system. This is specific to each advertiser so you will have to do your own research to find out how you can do that. Some advertisers show a small X at the top-right of their ads which can be used to at least make sure that specific ad is not served to you again.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA requires commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy when collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers. The privacy policy must state exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.

According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  • Users can visit our site anonymously.
  • A link to this privacy policy appears on all our pages.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found.

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?

We honor Do Not Track (DNT) signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a DNT browser mechanism is in place. However, third parties we use to run our advertising campaigns may or may not honor DNT as expected.

Our website allows third-party behavioral tracking.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States’ consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old. Our website is otherwise safe for children browsing.

CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

We collect your email address in order to:

  • Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions
  • Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.

To be in accordance with CAN-SPAM, we agree to the following:

  • Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.
  • Include the physical address of one of our offices.
  • Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used.
